Bones Discovery Shocks Animal Rescuers

Detroit Police and animal rescue personnel are investigating a grisly discovery at a home on the west side.

Four garbage bags filled with animal bones were found outside the house on Tarnow street. A man living there was arrested. An animal rescue group was allowed inside the house. It’s is owned by the city’s land bank authority.
Bones were also found inside the house. The searchers say they were from dogs, and cows, among others.
Police were called to the house by neighbors who said they saw the man drag his dog while riding a bike, and then severely beat the dog.
The man has been released pending possible charges. He had 6 other dogs inside the house.
