K’Zoo Killer Wins A Round In Court

Incriminating statements made to police by accused Kalamazoo mass murderer Jason Dalton were kicked out by the Michigan Court of Appeals.

The three-judge panel voted unanimously to suppress from an upcoming trial all statements Dalton made to Kalamazoo County Sheriff Department detectives and Michigan State Police.

Dalton was interviewed twice after his arrest following the killing of six people and wounding of two others as he was driving for Uber in Kalamazoo County on Feb. 20, 2016. Dalton repeatedly made requests for a lawyer and said he didn’t want to talk, but the interrogations continued.
