Channel 7 WXYZ reporter Nia Hardin and her crew member were attacked by a man while covering a Detroit hit and run story. The reporter and the crew member are okay.
They say a man came up to them and another reporter with an object that looked like a baton, and began swinging it wildly at the reporter and another news reporter at the scene. The man smashed the windshield of
the channel 7 crew’s vehicle. Police have arrested the man. The channel 7 reporter and her cameraman are okay.
