An Almond Milk Recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of a popular almond milk brand across 28 states including Michigan for potentially containing a real milk product.

An estimated 145,254 half-gallon cartons of potentially affected refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze
were shipped around the country including the state of Michigan.

Affected containers have a suggested use-by date of Sept. 2, and UPC of 41670 05261.

Those who purchased affected Almond Breeze are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

One person is said to have suffered an allergic reaction connected to the undeclared milk allergen, but the federal agency says that person did not require hospitalization.
