A recount is in the works for the SMART bus millage renewal in Macomb County. The Michigan Taxpayers Alliance filed a request for votes to be recounted on the SMART bus tax proposal.
It passed by 39 votes out of almost 155,000 votes cast during the primary this month in Macomb. The issue passed handily elsewhere.
The MTA paid a fee totaling $9,950.
The Macomb County Clerk will establish when the recount will take place.
