Students Happy To Get The ‘Go Blues’

The University of Michigan is getting ready to admit its first new students under its ‘Go Blue Guarantee.’

The program was  announced last year and goes into effect with the fall semester.

It provides four years of free tuition for students from in-state families with an annual income of 65-thousand dollars a year or less.

The program was announced with much fanfare last June and then extended in January to cover some 16-hundred students who were already enrolled and met the guidelines.

University officials said that talent and achievement is not distributed by income and that the school needs to make sure that everyone should have the opportunities available at places like the U of M.
