Ferris State University fall semester classes are starting as scheduled but some faculty members are going on strike.
The strike by full-time teachers at the university in Big Rapids came after a Sunday negotiating session didn’t result in a new contract agreement with the Ferris Faculty Association. Part-time teachers are not affected. FSU has 14,000 students.
