A 30 year old man from Mount Morris is due in court today in connection with the murder of an off-duty Port Huron police lieutenant.
It’s a preliminary exam for Joshua Bauman who has been charged with 1st degree murder in the August 24th shooting of 45 year old Joel Wood.
Another man and a woman were wounded in that same shooting.
The woman was said to be Bauman’s ex-wife.
Police say the dead police officer had been visiting the woman when they were shot.
Bauman was arrested about four hours after the shootings at a gas station at ten mile and telegraph in Southfield
He has been held without bond being held without bond since his arraignment over two weeks ago.
