Two men tried to rob a Detroit dollar store.

It cost one man his life and other is now facing prison time.
It was the evening of September 10th.

There were two female employees and a woman shopper in the Family Dollar Store on Schoolcraft, when the two men stormed in and demanded money.

An armed security guard heard the commotion and, emerging from the rear of the store, shot and killed one of the men.

The 27 year old security guard was shot and wounded in the exchange of gunfire.

The other would-be robber, 26 year old Donquial Thompson-Moore fled the scene, but was later identified and taken into custody.

He’s due in court today for a preliminary exam.
