DMC Suffers Blip in Cardio Team

3 cardiologists at Detroit Medical Center have been taken out of their administrative positions and 1 resigned.
An e-mail sent out to employees cites code of conduct violations.
The doctors are Mahir Elder, Amir Kaki, and Tamam Mohammad.
Dr. Elder, in a statement, says he was relieved as director of cardiac care at Harper Hospital in retaliation for his complaints about poor quality and safety concerns.
In addition, DMC says it accepted the resignation of Dr. Ted Schreiber, the former president of the Cardiovascular Center. DMC says it was investigating complaints that Schreiber had violated standards of conduct.
DMC says it expects no disruption in service and that DMC upholds the highest standards of care.
