A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a man and woman charged with carjacking an 88 year old woman in Livonia late last month.
41 year old Jessica Saint Clair of Wayne and 38 year old Jason Malinas of Sterling Heights are facing several charges.
The 88 year old victim says she had just got out of her car in the parking lot of a Walmart on Plymouth Road.
She says the two grabbed her purse and keys and knocked her to the ground even as she tried to fight them off with her cane.
The two were able to get in the woman’s car and speed off.
They were arrested about seven hours later.
Police were able to track the car through the victims phone that had been left on the seat of her car.
