Orion Twp. plans to become a marijuana capitol.
A $40 million cannabis business park will break ground in Orion Township next week.
The nearly 300,000 square-foot complex will house growers, processors, secure transporters and safety compliance operators. Grow Cannabis Marketing says the development will bring hundreds of new jobs to Orion Township and will provide a safe environment for commercial cannabis operations.
The three buildings are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The cannabis business park is in the Oakland Business Park and backed by several local investors.
the development has the approval of Orion Twp. officials, who have given all the zoning and permits.
