Judge To Decide On Trial For 2 Accused Cops

A preliminary examination was scheduled for today for two Detroit police officers who have been charge with home invasion and misconduct in office.

Officer Bradley Clark and Sgt. Paul Glaza were part of a burglary task force.

Prosecutors say they went to a home on Pembroke looking for a suspect.

The homeowner told them the man they were looking for wasn’t there and closed the door on them.

They they kicked in the door, came in without a search warrant and with guns drawn, handcuffed the man, 28 year old Tashar Corneilius, and searched the home.

The suspect wasn’t found, but Corneilius was arrested on a charge he had an illegal stun gun in the home.

He was held for 36 hours before being released.

He says he’s considering suing the city.
