A 24 year old Jackson woman is due in court today in connection with the death of her boyfriend’s 14 month old son.
Amber Reeves is facing a charge of manslaughter.
Prosecutors say she beat the youngster while watching him on October 9th … that the beating occurred because she was angry with his father and frustrated that she had been left to care for the child while he was out on the town.
Court records indicate the boy had died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
The charge against her is a 15 year felony.
