Thanksgiving is early this year. It means shoppers will have 32 days between Black Friday and Christmas Eve to fill out their gift lists.
It’s the longest holiday spending period possible.
This is, of course, good news for shoppers and retailers … and crooks.
For you in-store shoppers, you can be sure pickpockets will be out and about trying to take advantage of the large crowds and confusion that often occurs.
Law enforcement officials encourage everyone to watch their wallets.
They explain .. don’t leave them in your car and don’t leave them unattended in a shopping cart.
Police also recommend that packages be placed in the trunk of your car and not in a back seat where they can be easily seen.
