Killer Of Homeless Man Sentenced

The last of three people charged in the brutal slaying of a homeless man in Lansing is scheduled to be sentenced today.

26 year old Amber Kohls is to be sentenced today on her plea of guilty, but mentally ill.

Prosecutors say she joined with 28 year old Brandon Addiss in attacking the victim at a homeless camp.

They say Addiss had tackled the man and choked him, and that Addis and Kohls both stabbed him and then cut his throat.

Addiss was previously sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Another man, Matthew Green was convicted of helping hide the victims body and is serving a sentence of between 18 and 60 months in prison.
