How Many Use Pot In ‘Legal’ States?

With Michigan on the list to legalize marijuana, what can we expect on the growing number of people who will use it? WJR has figures from the U-S government.

Legalize pot— and more people use it, especially teenagers.
8-percent of teens in Colorado used marijuana for the first time last year. Nearly 8-percent in Massachusetts, and 7-percent D-C and Alaska.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health administration, marijuana use was double among all age groups in legal states compared to states where’s it’s illegal.
The agency says 23-percent of residents used marijuana in 2017 in states where it’s legal, compared to 13-percent in states where’s it’s illegal.
Teenaged use of marijuana was highest in Vermont, nearly 18-percent.
