Businessman Who Took On Duggan Faces Charges

Detroit businessman Robert Carmack is reportedly facing 4 felony counts involving Carmack’s dispute with the city over ownership of property. The charges were decided by the Genesee County prosecutor, who was brought in to investigate in place of Wayne County authorities in light of a bitter feud between Carmack and Mayor Mike Duggan.
Carmack rented a video billboard and flashed video on the street showing images of Duggan visiting the home of a woman in Novi.
The dispute is over land in S-W Detroit that Carmack claims the city gave him as a result of a deal that went bad. Carmack sold the property for 1-million dollars. The city sued Carmack and is trying to get the land back.
The Genesee prosecutor is charging Carmack with fraud, and uttering and publishing.
Carmack is reportedly planning to turn himself in to face charges.
