The 23rd annual Women Thrive Conference is being held today at the Detroit’s MGM Grand Casino today.
The conference provides an opportunity for networking for women and will include workshops, a luncheon celebrating women into the Michigan Business Hall of Fame, among them WJR’s Ann Thomas.
Over 400 women are at the daylong event.
Officials say they look forward to the day when they won’t have to hold a special conference tailored to women in business.
But they add that they need to keep these discussions going in order to bring about further change.
