Facebook Censors Face Job Trauma

Facebook is under fire for poor treatment of the Facebook moderators whose job it is to keep the site free of everything from racism, to child abuse, to graphic violence.
The investigation found that full-time employees – those who make it through training – develop poor coping skills such as drug abuse, a dark sense of humor, embracing fringe beliefs, and having sex on company property. Moderators in Arizona make about $29,000 per year compared to the average Facebook employee’s $240,000 salary package.
