Ex Clergyman Faces Child Exploitation Charges

A former Port Huron pastor is due in Detroit federal Court today in a case involving the sexual exploitation of children.

Charged in the case is 64 year old Jack Woodburn.

He has been in federal custody since May and has not been back in court since he was ordered to undergo a psychological examination back on October 1st.

At that time, Judge Paul Borman said there was reasonable cause to believe the defendant was mentally incompetent.

Today’s hearing is a status conference to determine what happens next.

Woodburn was charged with contacting 3 girls under the age of 14 on a computer while pretending to be a 15 year old boy and encouraging them to send him sexually explicit pictures.
