A contest has declared a winning name for the big gold icon in the middle of Hall Rd. in Sterling Heights. The top vote-getter in the on-line contest is ‘The Halo.’
The Halo got 26 percent of the votes cast.
The Aurum finished second.
The unofficial name for the icon, used by many who travel M-59, is less complimentary.
