House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff plans to send a criminal referral to the Justice Department for Blackwater founder Erik Prince, charging that Prince “willingly misled” the intelligence panel when he testified in 2017.
Prince’s testimony was about a meeting with a high-ranking Russian official during the Trump transition.
Blackwater was a security management and law enforcement and military training company.
Erik Prince is the brother of Betsy Devos and is from west Michigan.
Prince is a former Navy Seal.
