Electric Rates Go Up Again

Electric bills are going up.
State regulators have approved an 8-percent rate increase for DTE residential customers. The state Public Service Commission says the average customer will see an increase of 6-dollars 19 cents a month.
Commercial customers get a 4-percent increase.
More tree-trimming, capitol improvements in the power system, and a charging port program for electric vehicles are part of the increase.
