GM To Boost Truck Output

General Motors is investing millions of dollars to boost production of it’s top-selling trucks.

GM says it will spend 24-million dollars to improve the Fort Wayne Assembly plant, where they make the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra crew cab models…. crucial products for GM’s bottom line. GM said the investment will include improvements to the plant’s conveyors and other tooling to support increased production.
GM Fort Wayne has received 1 point 2 billion in investments since 2015.
GM began producing the next generation of the pickups last October, and the company says they’ve had a 20-percent sales increase.
Pickups and SUV’s are the profit leaders.
