State Supreme Court Rocks Public Retirees

Public employee unions are alarmed, after  the State Supreme Court ruled that retired public employees can have their health care benefits reduced. The justices, in a 4 to 2 ruling, said that union contracts for public employee unions are not a promise for lifetime health coverage. This includes police and fire retirees. The case involved health care coverage for 16-hundred retired Macomb County workers.
The 4 Republican court justices voted for it. The 2 democrats on the court were against it.
