A barricaded gunman situation ended in Ferndale this morning with the gunman dead… apparently he killed himself.
Several police agencies were called to the scene after shots were fired inside the Ferndale Housing Commission apartment building.
A 70-year-old man fired shots at another person in the hallway of the building. No one was hit.
The shooter was cornered in part of the building. Police were not able to talk him into surrendering. His body was found after police were unable to get a response from him.
