Is Volkswagen moving it’s regional hub out of Auburn Hills?
Volkswagen is reported to be looking for a new place to put it’s office, with 1-thousand employees. The hub, on Hamlin Road, has customer relations, sales, engineering and environmental employees, and is VW’s liason with U-S regulators. Crain’s Detroit Business says VW is exploring options on the leased building, which is owned by a billionaire Kuwaiti developer.
Volkswagen is developing a partnership with Ford, and is re-structuring part of it’s business.
But Auburn Hills city officials say they’re confident VW will stay in Auburn Hills.
