A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for the man suspected of being a Detroit serial killer.
34 year old DeAngelo Martin has been charged with attempted murder and 1st degree rape.
Prosecutors have identified him as a person of interest in the serial slayings of three prostitutes.
All had been in their 50s.
His arrest and charges involved an attack on a 26 year old woman who was stabbed and sexually assaulted in the early morning hours of May 7th in the 19-thousand block of Barlow.
She managed to get away after being attacked.
Detroit police chief James Craig said that her attack was similar to the 3 women who were killed.
All had been lured into vacant buildings and attacked.
The younger woman was lucky to escape.
The others weren’t.
