Family and friends are saying goodbye to Tyler Wingate, the Detroit man beaten to death at a gas station. The funeral was today for Wingate, a 24 year old who moved into Detroit from Berkley because he wanted to be part of the comeback of the city.
The funeral was at Berkley Community Church. The man who police say killed him, 23 year old Lawrence Davis, is still at large.
White ribbons can be seen in Berkley and Royal Oak to remember Wingate and support his family.
