FCA Has Strong Q2

Fiat Chrysler defied the rest of the auto industry in posting strong quarterly earnings and predicting good performance for the rest of the year.

Fiat Chrysler goes against the grain of the industry— with a gain of 12 percent in adjusted earnings in the American market, to 1 pt 7 billion dollars, even though unit sales declined in the second quarter.
Profit margins rose to nearly 9-percent, a high water mark for the company.
The new Jeep Gladiator was a big help…. a midsized pickup which is selling as fast a the company can make them.
FCA is also working with dealers to reduce inventory, making dealers more profitable, and giving them more room to make deals with customers.
