Accused Sex Trafficker Faces Charges

He was the most wanted criminal in the region.
Federal authorities arrested the leader of a drug and sex-trafficking ring at a motel after a two-year manhunt.

Darrick Bell was arrested at the Econo Lodge in Monroe by Homeland Security and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Investigators found nearly $12,000 and cocaine in the motel room,.

Bell, known as Tone, had been on the run since January 2017, when law enforcement raided the Victory Inn on Detroit’s west side.

The investigation and raid rescued 14 women and uncovered a criminal ring that took over the motel.
Bell, a convicted killer and accused pimp, was accused of running the sex-trafficking at the motel.
A woman was also arrested.
Several other defendants were arrested at the Detroit motel during the raid.
