How To Get Free Legal Help

Letting victims know that help is available for them

That’s the theme of a presentation tonight in Detroit.

The public is welcome to attend a ‘Power Act’ meeting at 6 tonight at the Wayne County Community College on West Fort Street in downtown Detroit.

The Power Act requires each judicial district within the judiciary to hold a yearly event to encourage the legal community to provide pro bono services to survivors of domestic and dating violence,

sexual assaults and stalking.

Tonight’s presentation is designed to make sure that the victims of these crimes know that pro bono, for free legal service, is available to them.
