Guv To Seek State Vaping Law

Gov. Whitmer says she will seek a state law banning sweet flavored e-cigarettes.
Whitmer ordered that sweet vapes be prohibited for anybody in Michigan after her chief state medical officer declared vaping to be a public health emergency.

“The serious part of this is that 81 percent of young tobacco users started when they were young and started with a flavored vaping product,” the Governor tells Paul W. Smith.

The governor’s ban is in effect for 6 months, and can be extended 6 months.
E-cigarettes are banned in Michigan for those under 18.
