They Called Her Grandma

An  Eaton County man is arraigned today for the beating and robbery of a 67 year old Charlotte woman.

Police say Ryan Goldsberry and a female friend, who were friends of her grandson and called her grandma, were at her home in May doing lawn work to earn some extra money.

She says she went into the kitchen to make dinner for them when Goldsberry, who she had known for 15 years, snuck up behind her and smashed her in the head with a cast iron frying pan.

She was thrown into the basement and Goldsberry and the woman fled in her car.

She was able to crawl out and run to a neighbor for help.

Goldsberry fled to Calfornia, where he was later arrested and returned to Michigan.

His female friend was not charged.
