Flavored Vapes Ban Starts Today

Today is the deadline for stores to get rid of flavored e-cigarettes, under rules released by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The order to clean their shelves came in the aftermath of Michigan becoming the first state in the nation to ban the flavored vapes in the midst of growing health concerns.

The order to clear their shelves has not set well with retailers.

Some small businesses are predicting huge losses and the possibility of going out of business.

They say they have no problem with the effort to keep flavored vapes away from kids, but point out that the flavored vapes they sell are used by adults who are trying to quit smoking.

Two lawsuits have been filed against the state over its ban of the flavored e-cigarettes.
