Pot Votes In 2 Communities

It’s a  Presidential Primary, but pot will also be a hot issue in 2 Detroit-area communities in today’s voting.

Voters in Clinton Township and Ecorse are being asked to decide whether to allow the opening of marijuana facilities.

This would go against the decision of officials in both locations who had previously opted out of legal pot sales after Michigan voters had legalized recreational pot back in 2018.

Opponents to today’s measures say residents don’t want these type of businesses in their back yard.

However, supporters in both Clinton Township and Ecorse used petition drives to gather the necessary signatures needed to put the issue on today’s ballots.
