Stay At Home To Be Extended

Gov. Whitmer will extend the stay at home order later today.
The state has had 959 deaths and 20-thousand 346 cases of corona virus, an increase of 114 deaths and nearly 19-hundred cases from the day before. It was the smallest 24 hour jump in new cases since March 31st. Michigan has the third-highest number of cases and deaths. Detroit fire
Capt. Franklin Williams died from a heart attack while doctors tried to put him on a ventilator.
He was a 31-year veteran with the department. More than 50 department members have tested positive for COVID-19.
The state health department says
56 people in Michigan have recovered from coronavirus as of April 3.
The health department considers people who show recovery 30 days after the onset of the virus, so the 56 people had the virus on or before March 4.
Oakland County officials say the peak of cases is not expected until the end of the month.
People Up North want people from downstate to stay away. Officials in northern Michigan are asking the governor to order cottagers from downstate to choose one house or the other, to keep them from bringing corona virus Up North.

Detroit D-DOT bus drivers will be allowed to bar passengers who they think are not going to an essential job or otherwise are not obeying the stay at home restrictions.

SMART bus officials say regular bus service continues on most of it’s routes. Some routes have reservation shuttles available.

Delta Airlines will stop selling tickets for middle seats to create more distance between passengers.
