Michigan reports 232 new deaths from corona virus, the highest daily death toll. But that’s because dozens of deaths in Detroit came in late, as did others elsewhere in the state. More than 27-hundred have died from the virus in Michigan.
Gov. Whitmer plans another update.
Whitmer calls protestors who plan another gridlock protest “irresponsible” if they get out of their cars.The Post Cereal company says 10 workers have tested positive for the virus at it’s plant in Battle Creek. No contamination is reported to any of the cereal or packaging.

The state is now requiring nursing homes to give daily reports, in the effort to stem the number of cases and deaths among elderly residents.
The Michigan Attorney General’s office is laying off more than 100 employees.
Delta Airlines reports a loss of 584 million dollars in the first quarter. Losses in April are heavy.
Some students at Michigan State have sued MSU seeking refunds of tuition and room and board.
The Little Darlings strip club in Las Vegas says the feds turned them down for the federal aid package because of discrimination against sex oriented businesses. Little Darlings is owned by Deja Vu, based in Flint.
