Federal Funds Aimed At Schools Hit By CV

More help is on the way for those Michigan school districts hit the hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Whitmer explained that those districts are now eligible for 60-million dollars in additional federal relief funds. Another five million dollars will also be available for universities and other education entities.
Michigan’s death toll from the corona virus now stands at 6,349. The state reported nine new fatalities yesterday among 616 newly confirmed cases that brought the state’s total to 94,278.

AMC Theatres, the nation’s largest movie theatre chain, is today reopening more than one hundred of its cinema’s across the country. However, its 14 Michigan locations are not included because most state theatres still can’t reopen under an executive order from Governor Whitmer.
