Whitmer Learned Of Plot ‘Several Weeks Ago’

Several of the 13 men charged in plots to kidnap Gov. Whitmer have been arraigned and are jailed on high bonds. Others are due in court, to face the charges by federal and state authorities that they took part in a detailed plan to abduct Whitmer, bring her to Wisconsin, stage a trial in which the governor would be accused of treason, and to storm the Michigan capitol and take over the state government. Authorities say members of militia groups met in various places in Michigan, Wisconsin, and possibly other states, and tested out explosives. One of their training grounds was in Jackson County. They say the men surveilled the governor’s vacation home near Elk Rapids, where an abduction was planned.
The authorities say there could be more arrests.
Whitmer says she does not consider the groups to be militias, but domestic terrorists.

Whitmer tells ABC News she learned about the investigation several  weeks ago.

Whitmer and Pres. Trump exchanged Twitter messages last night criticizing each other.
