2021 Detroit Grand Prix to Allow Full Seating, Open Paddock

DETROIT, May 25, 2021 ~ The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear will welcome full seating in the grandstands during the event on Belle Isle, June 11-13.

We weren’t sure if we would have opportunity to provide that experience again this year, but with the new protocols announced last week, we are excited to safely welcome our fans back inside the paddock and give them the chance to feel the excitement of world-class racing here in the Motor City,” said Michael Montri, President of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.


May 21, 2021 ~ Chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Bud Denker announces on The Paul W. Smith Show that more people will be able to attend the racing event due to the change in COVID-19 restrictions.

All ticket holders will be allowed to visit the paddock where teams and drivers prepare their cars for the race. Spectators that attend Comerica Bank Free Prix Day on Friday, June 11 will have access to the Fifth Third Bank Paddock free of charge.
