DETROIT, Sept. 1, 2023 ~ UAW President Shawn Fain announced Thursday that the union filed unfair labor charges with General Motors and Stellantis NV.

The charges were filed with the National Labor Relations Board over an illegal “refusal to bargain in good faith” related to ongoing contract negotiations between UAW and the automakers, Fain said in a Facebook livestream. The union claims they have yet to receive counter-offers to their initial proposed contracts from GM and Stellantis, though the companies refute this.

Detroit News auto and business reporter Jordyn Grzelewski spoke more about the charges on “JR Morning with Guy Gordon.”
