Sept. 11, 2023 ~ While UAW President Shawn Fain called Stellantis NV‘s first contract offer “inadequate,” the automaker indicated that progress is being made with the negotiations to avoid a strike.

Stellantis proposed a 14.5% increase Friday for most of the companies UAW represented workers, with another economic offer proposed to the union Monday morning just three days before the Sept. 14 contract deadline. After a weekend of negotiations, both sides have tentatively agreed to new health and safety agreements.
