CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI, Sept. 28, 2023 ~ In a political duel to win over working-class voters, former President Donald Trump made a controversial visit to Michigan to appeal to striking auto workers one day after President Joe Biden did the same.

Trump delivered a speech from non-union auto parts manufacturer Drake Enterprises in Clinton Township, railing against electric vehicles and said that UAW President Shawn Fain should endorse him or else they are “Not going to have a union.” Fain and other union leaders condemned Trump’s visit over his labor policies as president.

John Sellek, founder and CEO of Harbor Strategic Public Affairs, spoke more about Trump skipping the second GOP presidential debate to speak in Michigan on “JR Morning with Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds.”
