Whitmer Announces ‘You Can in Michigan’ Ad Campaign to Curb State’s Population Decline

MICHIGAN, Oct. 19, 2023 ~ Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the new “You Can in Michigan” ad campaign Tuesday that will that hopes to reverse Michigan‘s population decline.

The campaign has an initial budget of $20 million, and will utilize TV, radio, print, and social media advertisements, billboards at Michigan colleges and universities, and a new website to market the state to new work talent. The campaign will advertise in states like California, Illinois, New York, Ohio, and Texas, while pushing Michigan’s technology job opportunities, nature traveling, and quality of life.
