ROCHESTER HILLS, MI, Nov. 15, 2023 ~ Michigan pulmonologist Dr. Emad Shehada has been regularly communicating with his family members trapped in the seized Palestinian territory of Gaza as Israel continues its bombardment. They relayed horror shows of seeing the limbs of their family members scattered in rubble from a missile strike, he told the Detroit Free Press.
Sheheda has lost twenty of his family members living in Gaza in the military response to the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7 that killed 1,200 people. As of Wednesday, more than 11,200 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, about half of them children.
