DETROIT, Nov. 20, 2023 ~ Yet again, the Detroit Lions defeated the odds.

With a victorious comeback in the final five minutes, the Lions overpowered the Chicago Bears 31-26.

For the first time since 1962, Detroit is now 8-2, defying the odds and making history one step at a time.

Considering the sloppy first three quarters full of turnovers and an underperforming Jared Goff, the Lions were expected to fall. With quarterback Justin Fields returning to the field after his injury, the Bears played full throttle, challenging the defense with mobility and drive.

As they were down 26-14 with 4:15 remaining in the game, things were not looking up for the Lions.

However, a miracle comeback was awaiting.

(CONTINUED) Despite throwing three interceptions, Goff persevered and led the Lions down the green, connecting with Jameson Williams for a 32-yard touchdown pass with 2:59 remaining on the clock. In the following minutes, David Montgomery rushed in a touchdown and rookie Sam LaPorta secured a two-point conversion catch. To top off the victory, Aiden Hutchinson plowed through the Bears offense with a sack, resulting in a fumble and safety.

Although it wasn’t Detroit’s best overall performance, their grit and determination took the cake.

Next up, the Lions are up against the Green Bay Packers for the annual Thanksgiving match on November 23, 2023.

Happy turkey day and Go Lions!
