EAST LANSING, Dec. 18, 2023 ~ The Michigan State University Board of Trustees voted unanimously Friday to release documents related to the decades-long systemic sexual abuse of women by Larry Nassar, which will be sent to the office of state Attorney General Dana Nessel.

This vote followed Nessel’s public call made earlier this year to release thousands of documents related to the university’s handling of its disgraced sports doctor’s sexual abuse and the board’s decision-making, along with a lawsuit filed in July by the Nassar survivors also seeking the release of the documents. It is unclear whether the documents, which the university previously refused to hand over to the Attorney General’s office, will be made public by Nessel’s office in the future.
