DETROIT, Feb. 5, 2024 ~ Despite facing a Congressional censure resolution and scorn over her criticism of Israel, Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) raised an eye-popping $3.7 million for her reelection in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The incumbent candidate is the sole Palestinian American in Congress, who has received national attention for her support of the Palestinian people during Israel’s assault on Gaza and for being one of the few members of Congress to call for a cease-fire. Though no Democrat primary opponent has announced a bid against Tlaib in the overwhelmingly blue district, she managed to outraise Senate candidate and Democrat Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (MI-7) in the same time frame.
